Internal Ballistics

Internal ballistics software is collection of Matlab programs for calculating internal ballistic porcesses in guns, mortars and rocket motors.

Program name: IBGun.m – Internal Ballistics of Guns
Version/Year: Version 1.0, 2008.
Capability: Calculation of internal ballistic parameters of guns.
Purpose: Quick estimation of internal ballistic parameters and performances of a projectile-gun system for design purposes. Estimation of forces on rotating band.
Method: Numerical integration of equations of solid propellant combustion, equation of gas dynamic process in burning chamber and gun barrel and differential equations of projectile motion.
Origin: Original development based on published literature and own experience.
Platform: Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 and 10
Required software: Matlab 5 or higher version
